History

Before the establishment of the Wallaroo Community Sports Club at its present site, the Golf, Croquet and Bowls Clubs were quite active as separate entities in the town of Wallaroo. The Bowls Club, situated on Owen Terrace in the centre of town had little option for expansion, as had the Croquet Club, the opportunity came about with the relocation of the main Supermarket development to the main street of Wallaroo.
The provision of a clubhouse, incorporating two in door bowling greens a Croquet green at the 18-hole Golf course with support from the Copper Coast Council was incentive enough for the two Clubs to relocate to the present site as a combined Sporting Club.
